This Week's Need to Know

THIS WEEK’S TEXT:  “Open Heart, Open Home”   Romans 12:13 Taught by: Pastor Tim Boger

NO SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
There will be no Sunday School classes this Sunday and April 17.  However, this Sunday, the Elders are asking for your help immediately following the worship service, to listen and learn about how they can better equip and serve the body. This will be a brief time to sit with an elder and share your thoughts regarding some key questions. How is the church equipping you to use your spiritual gift? How is your family growing spiritually? What ministries and opportunities have been effective for your growth? How can we better equip you in your specific area of ministry in the local church? In your home? Marriage? Family? Workplace? Please plan to make this time a priority as we seek to grow together as a faithful church.

EASTER BREAKFAST SIGN-UP
Join us for breakfast Easter morning at 8:00 a.m. in the church’s Multi-Purpose Room. Breakfast casseroles and yogurt parfaits will be provided; however, we are looking for some additional food items.  If you are interested in contributing, please click here to sign up.  If you plan on attending, please click here

NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Three new Sunday School classes will be offered starting Sunday, April 24.  Please sign up for the Sunday School class you wish to attend by clicking here.  Please be praying for the leaders as they prepare for these classes.

NAVIGATE ALL-NIGHTER
Middle School and High School students are invited out to our youth group all-night from 7:30 p.m. tomorrow until 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 9. We are heading out for bowling, laser tag, a trampoline park and more! The cost for students is $20, and a permission form from BWBC and an online wavier from Kaos Fun Zone MUST be completed. Finally, bring friends! This is one of our events intended for friends to come, especially those who would normally never step foot in a church. If you have any questions, contact Pastor Stuart at stuartr@bigwoods.org.

WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING
Please join us as we gather for a time of fellowship and prayer on Saturday, April 9 at 9:00 a.m. here at the church.

WOMEN’S TEA
Women’s Ministry is holding a Tea Party on Saturday April 23 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. There will be activities, a devotional, live music, refreshments, and of course tea. A sign-up sheet is in the back of the sanctuary, along with a food sign-up and a sign-up if you are interested in decorating a table. There will be a prize for the best table! Women of all ages are invited!

SECRET CHURCH
Secret Church is an international simulcast done every year by David Platt and his organization, Radical. Navigate and New Life students have been invited out in past years, but this time we are opening it up to the entire church! Come out on Friday, April 29 from approximately 7:00 p.m. until midnight. This year’s series is going to be incredible, as we are tackling the subject of “Who Am I? What does the Bible say about… Sexuality and Gender, Race, Genomics, Abortion, Infertility, Artificial Intelligence, Justice, and the Metaverse”? There is no cost.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BIG WOODS COMMUNITY VEGETABLE AND FLOWER GARDEN

RIGHT NOW MEDIA
Did you know you have access to RightNow Media through Big Woods Bible Church?  RightNow Media is like Netflix for Bible Studies.  There is a wealth of great studies available to you online or by streaming on your phone, tablet or even media devices like Roku.  There are also programs safe for your kids that will reinforce the Biblical values you teach them.  Not sure how to access?  No problem!  Send an email to Holly Beaver at hollyb@bigwoods.org and she will help you get connected.

NEW MOBILE APP FOR ONLINE GIVING
Vanco – our eGiving provider, has launched an updated mobile app called Vanco Mobile.  This new mobile will be replacing GivePlus Mobile.  With Vanco Mobile, you can send one-time donations or set recurring gifts.  Head over to the App Store or Google Play to download Vanco Mobile for free. Be sure to download this app soon, as GivePlus Mobile will be retired as of April 30th, 2022.   If you are already registered with GivePlue, you will use the same login and there will be no disruption with existing donations.  If you have any questions, please contact Holly Beaver at 570-893-8274 or hollyb@bigwoods.org.
