“Gathered Together – Why Corporate Worship Matters”
An Extraordinary Outpost
Taught By: Tim Boger
Our Sunday services have moved outdoors. Bring your chairs, canopies, and Bibles as we enjoy gathering together in worship and fellowship. Due to the Big Woods body being blessed with young families and little ones each of us also has a responsibility for their safety. We want to especially encourage drivers to be cautious and careful during our summer services to ensure the safety of everyone, especially our children. Please follow the directions of the deacons when pulling in for our services. Please be aware of surroundings when leaving the service and use extreme caution when backing up your vehicle.
SUMMER FUN CHURCH EVENT
Please join us this Sunday at 7:00 p.m. for our Summer Fun Church Event. A Bonfire/Sing/Bat demo will be held on the church grounds. Please bring your lawn chair, a stick for roasting marshmallows and come ready to sing. Bottled water will be provided, but if you prefer something else, please feel free to bring your own beverage. If it rains, the event will be moved to the Church’s Multi-Purpose Room. In the event this happens, please bring your favorite board game! If you have any questions about this event, please contact Rachael Montei at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING
Our next Women’s Prayer Meeting will be Saturday, June 12, at 9:00 AM, located here at the church. Women are invited to join us as we spend time in fellowship with one another as well as pray for one another and others in our church body and community.
NEW MEMBER’S CLASS
Our New Member’s Class will start this Sunday. If you are participating in the class, join us in the conference room following the worship service. If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 570-893-8274 or email the church office at email@example.com.
BABY BOTTLE BLESSINGS
We’ll be participating in the 2021 Baby Bottle Blessings fundraiser for the Pregnancy Resource Clinic in State College. This is the last Sunday to pick up a bottle and fill it with change, dollars, or even a check made to Pregnancy Resource Clinic. Bottles can be found on the back desk in the auditorium. All funds go to help support this ministry in State College. Bottles will be collected on Sunday, June 20. You can also click here to make a donation online.
There will be a baptismal service at the Riverside Park River Lot following the worship service on Sunday, June 27. If you would like to know more about baptism, please contact the church office at 893-8274 or email the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
