This Week’s Need to Know – 7/13/2017

This Sunday marks an important step on our journey as a church.  During both services, members (age 18 and older) will be given an opportunity to vote to approve Stuart Redcay as our Youth Pastor.  God is blessing Big Woods in so many ways.  Over the past few years we’ve seen vision begin to turn into reality.  It has been a reality that our leadership and elders have prayed over carefully and all have diligently sought for God’s direction.  Stuart and Cheyenne and their ministry to our young people have been an answer to those prayers.  I hope you’ll be here on Sunday as we take another step forward in our journey, together.

We continue to get good news from Gary Webster, our building contractor.  The exterior work is nearing completion, which will allow his crew to work unhindered by rain.  Yesterday, a heavy machine operator was able to smooth out the rubble and fill in the area in front of the building, and a future driveway area can now be seen.  We continue to see steady progress, and we praise God the building process is staying on budget.  Please continue to pray for safety and wisdom as we move forward.

We have a couple of great opportunities to help others in our community and beyond.  You can help by donating school supplies (#2 pencils,  wide rule paper, tissues, markers, etc.) for our VBS supply drive or by donating Sharpie Markers (all colors) to our Guatemala team to take to the Cruz Blanca Learning Center.  Drop off your donations downstairs in the Fellowship Area.
