This Week’s Need to Know – 3/21/2019

We continue our study of Philippians 4:8 and will focus on the word Just this week.  Take some time to reflect and meditate on this verse this weekend as we prepare for corporate worship this Sunday.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. -Philippians 4:8

We’re just a little over one week away from our Baseball Batting Clinic featuring Joe Caruso.  We’ve already maxed out the number of participants that can be involved.  That’s 120 kids that will be on campus during the batting clinic!   However, we still would like as many as possible to be a part of the service on Saturday evening at 6:00 PM when Joe will share his personal testimony.  Look for an event page on Facebook soon that you can use to invite your friends.

The 2019 PRC Banquet will be held on April 16, 2019, at the Bryce Jordan Center in University Park.  Reservation is required by no later that April 1.  To learn more about the State College PRC or to reserve your place at this year’s banquet, visit

Mark your calendars for our annual Guatemala Auction.  All proceeds will benefit our 2019 Guatemala Missions Team.  The auction will be on Saturday, April 6.  If you would like to donate an item to the auction, please contact the church office.  More information will be available soon.

As our upcoming Baseball/Softball Hitting is getting close, it is exciting to see the number of kids that have expressed interest. As a church who wants to show those in our community the love of Christ we have a wonderful opportunity to serve them. We are in need of volunteers to assist with registration, serving lunch, cleaning up and most importantly just spending time with parents and kids as they are here. If you are interested and are able to serve, even in hour or two, that would be great. We need apx. 10-20 volunteers Sat. March 30 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm as well as some cleaning/straightening up after the 6:00 service that evening. Please respond by clicking this link and signing up today!
