This Week’s Need to Know – 11/29/2018

We welcome back Pastor Tim and Wendy this Sunday from their time away with Seth and Emily.  He will continue our series through the book of Philippians and will focus on Philippians 2:9-11 and finding joy through our submission to the exalted Christ.

This Sunday, Pastor Tim will be speaking to residents at Susque View as well as those at Lock Haven Extended Care.  We would love to have some kids to join and sing, read scripture, as well as fellowship with the residents.  This is a great way for them to minister to our community.  If they can be involved, please contact Nicole Lavallee (  Kids need to be at Susque View at 1:50 PM and can be picked up at the same spot at 4:00 PM.

December is upon us and that means finals will soon be here for Lock Haven students.  We will continue with our semi-annual Midnight Pancake outreach on December 12.  We need all sorts of volunteers.  We need people to serve, people to set up and clean up, people to serve, to make pancakes, and even people to just sit and start conversations with those that come and eat.  This is a big event on campus and grows every year.  If you’re not a night owl, that’s ok.  We’ll have a team making pancakes starting at 9:00 PM as well.   We also need donations of just add water pancake mixes as well as syrup bottles.  A donation box will be in the lobby to collect these.  Thanks for your prayers and support.

Many of you were interested in the Come Let Us Adore Him Advent Devotional by Paul David Tripp.  Unfortunately, we do not have any of them available at this time.  If you would like one, they are available for purchase here.

It’s not too late to be part of our Christ Eve Choir.  Practice is on Sundays at 4:30 PM for kids and 5:00 PM for adults.  For more information, contact Laura Leslie at or 814-441-2207.
