This Week’s Need to Know – 08/08/2019

This Sunday’s Text:  II Samuel 7When Prayers Go Unanswered

Our next slate of home groups will soon be starting.  We will be studying through the book of Colossians during the months of September through December.  This is the same book that the elders will be preaching through while Pastor Tim and Wendy are away for their sabbatical.  This will be a wonderful time for all of us to study and grow together outside of the morning worship service.  Make sure you click here and sign up for a group today – home groups are your place to connect to grow!

Just a reminder, this Sunday is the first session for our New Members class. That class will be held in the church conference room at the back of the office suite.  One of our elders, Zane Patalive, and his wife Sandy, will take you through a four week class to introduce you to Big Woods, what we believe, how our body functions, and help you find your place to serve the body at Big Woods.  If you would like to learn more about this class, contact Pastor Josh at today.

This Sunday, during the Sunday school hour, you’ll hear from our 2019 Guatemala Mission Team.  This year was the first year we were able to minister to families and teachers at The Learning Center in Cruz Blanca at their new location!  You’ll be blessed by their presentation, so please join us in the auditorium right after the morning service for this time of testimony.

Our last Backyard BBQ will be on Monday, 8/12/2019, at the home of Rob Harley & Nicole Lavallee.  It is a rain or shine event, so no matter what the weather, the event will take place.  For more information including their address, click here.
