Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

THIS WEEK’S TEXT: II Corinthians 4:16-18 – The Weight of Glory – Good News In a Bad News World
Taught By: Pastor Tim

Tomorrow night is our first family night outreach.  We still need some help with volunteers.  If you can help, please click this link and sign up.  We need volunteers for 8/7, 14, 21, and 28.  We also could use movie box candy donations as well.  Be sure to like and share our Facebook Event page to help spread the word.  For more information, contact Pastor Josh at

Due to the current restrictions regarding businesses and the Covid-19 situation, we at Big Woods are seeking to take the following steps in case we need to have indoor gatherings.

  • Please follow social distancing guidelines and maintain a distance of six feet from others.
  • Please wear a mask or face shield at any of our indoor gatherings.  Masks may be removed once you have been seated and you are with your family in the auditorium.  We ask that you wear them at all other times you are in the building.
  • Masks will be provided at the front and back entrances if you need one.

While Governor Wolf’s own guidelines exempts churches,* we want to show due diligence in providing the safest possible gathering for our church body.  While we continue to have good weather on Sunday mornings, we will remain outside with our worship services.  If weather requires we move indoors, for this season, we ask that you follow the above guidelines.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please be in prayer about our special offering on Sunday, September 13.  We are setting aside that day for a one-time offering with the purpose of paying down the principal of the bridge loan.  Do pray and ask God what he would have you give toward this offering, and give only as he leads and provides.  Please designate your offering for this by marking it “Bridge Loan Offering” on the memo portion of your check or on an envelope.  You can also give via our Egiving website by using the “Bridge Loan Offering” option.  If you would like more information about this, please contact Pastor Josh at

*Governor Tom Wolf’s Business Guidance website states the following:
“These rules don’t apply to religious gatherings held by churches, synagogues, temples, mosques, or other places of worship. Though we do encourage religious institutions to follow mask wearing, physical distancing, and other general health and safety measures.”
