This Week’s Need to Know – 06/25/2020

Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

THIS WEEK’S TEXT: Exodus 20:13-14 – Getting to the Heart of the Matter
Taught By: Aaron Batdorf

This Sunday will be the last time we will have two services as we go forward with our Regathering plan.  Things are going well as we are working to provide everyone with safe and healthy options to gather for worship.  On July 5, we plan on having another of our outdoor services (weather permitting).  More information is provided below about that service.  Starting July 12, we will resume with one service starting at 9:00 AM.  Chairs will still be spaced out to allow plenty of room for social distancing.  Please remember, children are welcome in our services.  We are happy to have them join us as we gather together to worship corporately.  If needed, a cry room in the back (accessible from the lobby) is available for mothers and infants, and Classroom 1 is stocked with color sheets and crayons for kids.  You may use that room to watch the service, or feel free to bring in some coloring pages and crayons to the auditorium as well.  Masks are optional, and are available for you at each of our entrances.  If you are still hesitant about joining us in person, please feel free to continue joining us online via our Facebook Live stream.  As a reminder, if you are feeling sick, especially with a fever, dry cough, and/or shortness of breath, please stay home, rest, and recover.

Our last outdoor service was so well received, we’ve decided to bring them back for a few Sunday’s this summer.  The next one will be on July 5.  Our plan, weather permitting, is to have this service outdoors on the side lawn between our building and The Collision Center.  We’ll provide some seating, but you are encouraged to bring your own chairs or drive up and drop your tailgate and join us from the back of your truck.  We will ask that everyone continue to maintain the recommended social distancing protocols, though masks will be optional.  The building will be open and restrooms available, but we ask that you only access the building through the main entrance or back entrance and only enter the restrooms.  All other areas need to remain closed off and only used if and when necessary.

We were delighted as some of the setups many of you brought with you (couches, etc.) at the last outdoor service.  Please feel free to be creative this time too!  Many of you stayed and fellowshipped after the service.  We’d like to encourage you to do that again as well.  If you’d like, please feel free to bring a picnic lunch or break out the BBQ after the service and enjoy lunch together.

We’ll be hosting a blood drive on Monday, 6/29, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  For more information visit or click here to visit our Facebook Event page.

Mark your calendars for an upcoming benefit BBQ dinner for the future PRC Lock Haven clinic.  If you would like tickets, please click the link below and request them ASAP.  They are $10 each.  You can pay by dropping your payment in the offering boxes in the auditorium.  Either place your payment in an envelope and mark it as “PRC BBQ Dinner” or designate it on the memo line of your check.  You can also use the “Other” line on our online giving page.  You will also need to designate it there as “PRC BBQ Dinner” as well.  Ticket requests must be received by no later than Monday, July 13.  For more information, feel free to contact me directly at
