This Week’s Need to Know 05/30/2019

This Saturday is our annual garage sale supporting our 2019 Guatemala Mission Team.  The sale will take place from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  If you have any donations (gently used clothing, household items, furniture, etc. – no books or TVs please), they can be dropped off at the church anytime before Saturday.  If you have large items that need to be picked up, please contact the church office and we’ll be happy to arrange for them to be picked up.

SUNDAY’S TEXT
Pastor Tim will be speaking on Staying On Track & On Task this Sunday.  The message will come from I Peter 4:7-11.  Take some time to read over and meditate on this Scripture in preparation for our Sunday service.

HOME GROUP SURVEYS
This Sunday is the first Summer Sunday, and that means we are taking a break from home groups.  We hope you had a wonderful experience in your home group this past year and that you grew closer in relationship to not only one another, but with our Savior as well.  We rely on your feedback to help us as we tweak, adjust, and relaunch this vital ministry each year.  Please take a few moments to fill out this short survey about your experience in home groups.  Thanks for helping us as we seek to serve you best!

BACK YARD BBQs
It’s summer, and at Big Woods, that means Back Yard BBQs.  These will begin on July 8 and go through August 12.  If you would like to host an event, click here and sign up today!  All paper/plastic products (plates, napkins, cups, utensils, etc.) will be provided by the host along with condiments, drinks, and a grill for cooking.  You’ll need to bring your own meat, a side dish to share, and it is recommended you bring your own chair as well.

BAPTISM SERVICE
Our next baptism service is scheduled on Sunday , June 23.  If you are interested in being baptized, please fill out a Communication Card at any of our Sunday services or contact the church office.
