This Week’s Need to Know – 03/22/2018

“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” -Romans 15:17

This Sunday morning at 9:30, we’ll continue our conversation on what it looks like to be a welcoming church.  Last week, we asked you to share what we do well, and what we need to do better.  Your input was incredibly helpful to us as we continue to develop our welcome team.  We praise God for a testimony this week of someone that was welcomed in grace at our services.  This week we’ll continue the conversation by looking at some practical things we can all do to help us have an attitude of expectation when it comes to guests.  We’ll also look at how being a welcoming church is a natural byproduct of a Gospel centered church.  Pastor Tim will continue his series on Jonah with part two of his message titled, You Can Swim, But You Can’t Hide.  Join us on Sunday as we fellowship together, learn from the Word, and worship our Awesome God.

This Sunday, March 25, we are hosting a short Q & A session at the new building led by Scott Heckman.   The Q & A session will begin after the second service.  You’ll want to join us to get the latest information about what’s happening in our building.  We praise God for continued good news.  Plumbing is starting, sheetrock installation will soon begin, as well as the installation of the HVAC systems and the electrical panel.  These are all big steps forward in the project.  We praise God for his continued guidance and provision through this project.

Have you visited our Book Nook yet?  It’s located downstairs in the Fellowship Area.  There a several good resources available for your reading pleasure.  If you need a Bible or know of someone that needs one, there are some available there for free.  Please stop by and take one if it will be used.  If you have books checked out, please make sure to return them or consider making a donation of $10 for the book so we can replace it and have plenty of good resources for our body.  Thank you.

Summer is coming, and it’s a great time to relax.  We would like to give our current teachers the opportunity to take those three months off so they can be involved in their own Sunday school class and just take a break.  You can help us by committing to teach or be a classroom helper during the summer months.  If you are interested, please contact Pastor Josh in the church office or Bobby & Melissa Varholak.
