Each Easter season, we take up an offering for the North American Mission Board (NAMB) which helps fund mission works in the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Territories of Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.  This offering goes to help with Missions Mobilization (53%)*, Church Planting (39%)*, and Evangelism (8%)*.  Ask God how you can be involved in this important work.  To make a donation, simply write “Annie Armstrong” on your offering envelope or in the memo line of your check.  You can also click here and give online.  Look for and use the Annie Armstrong box in the list of donation options.

Our next Women’s Prayer Meeting will be this Saturday, March 13, at 9:00 AM, located here at the church. Women are invited to join us as we spend time in fellowship with one another as well as pray for one another and others in our church body and community.

We are looking for a few people to help with operating the weed eater at the church as part of our lawn crew.  If you can help out with this, please see Bill Stankiewicz or email him at

We are scheduling a baptism service on Sunday, March 28.  We are also looking to start a New Members class in the near future, the date of that class to be determined.  If you are interested in learning more about baptism or are interested in becoming a member of the church, please contact Pastor Josh at the church office at (570) 893-8274 ext. 102, or

This week’s recommended study is called The 10 Worst Objections to Christianity.  To find this series, type “Sean McDowell” in the search box at Right Now Media or click the Big Woods Bible Church link on the left side of the Right Now Media home page. If you don’t have Right Now Media, please contact Pastor Josh and he can help you get connected.

We live in a culture that is skeptical of Christianity. It’s common to hear people say that believing in God is like believing in Santa or that Christianity is based on blind faith. How can we respond to people’s objections?  In this series, apologist Sean McDowell will give us quick answers to the top ten worst objections to Christianity that we hear on a regular basis. Learn to defend your faith and give an answer for why you believe in Jesus.
