Our next Women’s Prayer Meeting will be Saturday, February 13, at 9:00 AM, located here at the church. Women are invited to come and spend time in fellowship with one another as well as pray for one another and others in our church body and community.

We are looking for a few good drivers to help us in the van ministry.  You’ll need a valid PA driver’s license and a clean driving record.  If you are willing to help, please contact Pastor Josh at or call the church office at (570) 893-8274 ext. 102.

This week we’re calling you to pray specifically for our missionaries.  Our missionaries are dealing with many extra struggles right now as they navigate through their missional work in the midst of this worldwide pandemic.  Pray for their spiritual, physical, and mental health.  Pray for their safety.  Pray for God to provide opportunities for them to continue to minister to people with the Gospel.  Pray for they receive the financial support they need.  Here are our current missionaries:

Seth & Emily Boger – Middle East
Brian & Rachel Montei – ITEC – a non-denominational ministry utilizing volunteers to meet the technical needs of missionaries and not-for-profit organizations worldwide.
Philip & Bea Schuring – Brazil
Brad & Tricia Henderson – Transitioning back to USA
Jareb & Amy McClain – Beyond the Reef Ministry – Bible translation and Bible study development for indigenous people in the Asia/Pacific region
Craig & Shelly Schafer – Ministering to indigenous people in the Asia/Pacific region
Sascha & Damaris Kroeker – Africa

This week’s recommended study is called Grace of God and Flaws of Men by Anand Mahadevan.  Anand takes us through the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to see how in spite of their flaws and sin, God graciously used them to work out His purpose in the world.  This study helps develop a proper understanding of grace as well as a majestic view of God.

Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob stand towering among Old Testament leaders. They have always been celebrated for their faith, obedience, and accomplishments. But to only see their success without also seeing their flaws would alter the central message of the Bible—humans are sinners, and it is the grace of God that saves and transforms them through Christ Jesus. In this Bible study based on his book, Anand Mahadevan takes a fresh, true perspective on the lives of these three heroes and their many failures that will leave you captivated by the beauty, patience, and transforming power of God’s grace.
