Tim Boger
Senior Pastor
Pastor Tim Boger was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Canada where his parents were missionaries. A graduate of Washington Bible College he pursued a career in teaching and coaching until the Lord called him to be a pastor in 1995. He loves people, the Word of God, coffee, baseball and golf. His greatest joy is spending time with Wendy, his "sweetheart since junior high." They have two grown children. Seth and his wife Emily along with their sons Levi, Theo and Calvin live in Massachusetts. Sarah and her husband Ben live in Kansas and are the proud parents of Tim and Wendy's two other grandchildren, Denson and Noel. Before moving back to Pennsylvania in 2011, Tim completed his Masters in Pastoral Ministry and pastored in New England for fifteen years. Presently he is continuing his education through Reformed Theological Seminary.
Aaron Batdorf
Associate Pastor of Discipleship
Aaron was born in Pottstown, PA but after attending Lock Haven University, God opened a door for ministry with Big Woods. Aaron is married to Brianna, and they have three children, Zadok "Zae", Eleanor and Charlotte. Except for a year and a half away for education, Aaron and Brianna have been in Lock Haven since college and enjoy the outdoors, coffee, sitting on the porch, reading, and helping people follow Jesus faithfully by applying God's Word to all of life. Aaron has a burden to see people grasp the deep things of God and teaching others to go and do likewise through discipleship. Aaron is currently pursuing a PhD at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Stuart Redcay
Associate Pastor of Family Ministry
Stuart is from Manheim, PA and is a graduate of Lancaster Bible College and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Stuart met his wife Cheyenne through the New Life College Ministry at LHU, and together have three children. Cheyenne is a middle school teacher at Central Mountain, and loves students, sports, and time with family. Stuart loves coming alongside students in life, helping them to study God’s Word and apply it to their lives. In his spare time, he loves coffee, board games, and absurdly spicy food.
Robbie Mays
Associate Pastor of Campus Ministry
Robbie was born in Dover, DE, but lived in many states throughout his life, including South Carolina, Texas, and Maryland. He went to college at McDaniel College, graduating with a BA in Computer Science in 2019. Robbie felt called to college ministry by God shortly after graduation, due to both his participation in Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and his local church. Robbie is currently pursuing his Masters in Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He loves baseball and board games along with hanging out with college students. Robbie married his wife Macala November of 2021 in Nashville, TN. Together, Robbie and Macala disciple college students, helping them find Christ, follow Him, and make Him known to others at Lock Haven University.
Kraig Brady
Elder
Kraig is a retired art teacher and well-known wood sculptor in Central PA. He and his wife Kimber have four children and four beautiful grandchildren.
Art Gray
Elder
Art is a retired chemistry professor from LHU. He and his wife Linda have been married for over 50 years. They have five children and four grandchildren.
Kenny Hall
Elder
Kenny is on staff at Lock Haven University as the Director of Excellence and Inclusion. He and his wife Jessica have three daughters: Damaris, Rachel and Sarah.
Matt McDermit
Elder
Matt is a high school math teacher. He and his wife Meisha have two children Kyleigh and Kullen.
W. Newman
Elder
Him and his family enjoy hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities. He is most passionate about discipleship and men's ministries and his favorite bible passage is 2 Corinthians 4.

Drew is a psychology professor at LHU. He and his wife Lynn have four children: Morgan, Ella, Asher, and MeiLin.

Tyler Cygan
Administrative Assistant
Tyler was born in Lock Haven and graduated from Lock Haven University with a degree in Social Work. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, playing games, antique shopping, and hosting friends, basically, if it involves people or plants, she’s all in. She and her husband, Brian, have six children either in college or recently launched: Tyler (Bear), Peyton, Hannah, Gabe, Elise, and Thomas… which means their house is rarely quiet, always full of life, and there are no snacks left.
Janette Haffley
Head Custodian
Janette was born in Germany and came to the United States when she was 8 years old. She lived in Texas & Kentucky before coming to Pennsylvania. She has an older sister in Texas & younger brother here in PA. She is married to her wonderful husband, Adam and has a lovely son, Julian. In her spare time, she loves to garden, spend time with family and travel as much as possible. She also has a pitbull named Squirt who travels most trips with the family. She has a love for the Lord and enjoys learning & growing more each day. She has been with Big Woods since 2015.
Brian Cygan
Treasurer
Brian works in higher education administration at Pennsylvania College of Technology. He's attended Big Woods since 2005 when a job at LHU brought his family to the area, moving from his hometown of Butler, PA. He and his wife Tyler have six children and live in McElhattan.
Cierra Fry
Children's Ministry Coordinator
Cierra has been attending Big Woods since 2010. She is married to her husband, Mike, who is a math teacher at Loyalsock Township High School. Cierra is a stay-at-home mom to their two children, Revan and Luna. She is passionate about seeing children grow in their relationship with the Lord. In her free time, she enjoys coffee, sushi, and spending time with friends and family.

Mike is a math teacher and Cierra is a stay at home mom. They have two children, Revan and Luna. They enjoy playing games and spending time with friends.
Brianna Batdorf
Director of Women's Ministry
Brianna is from Philipsburg, PA. She came to Lock Haven University where she met her Savior, Jesus Christ, through college ministry, and then later, her husband, Aaron, who now serves on staff at BWBC as the Pastor of Discipleship. Together, they ministered to college students at LHU for 8 years before settling into their roles in adult ministry. Brianna has a passion for helping women know, love, and be changed by God and His Word. She currently works part-time as a physician assistant and full-time as the mother of their 3 children, Zadok, Eleanor and Charlotte.
Daniel Nauta
Director of Men's Ministry
Daniel Nauta is married to his wife, Amy Nauta. Daniel has a passion to see others grow in their love and obedience to the Lord. He is currently taking courses at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Sarah Kopas
Director of Senior Adult Ministry
Sarah lives in Beech Creek with her husband, Keanan, and their German Shepherd, Dora. She has a passion for creating connection and community within the church body. She works part time outside the home and, in her free time, enjoys gardening, homemaking, and reading.
