SUNDAY
SCHOOL CLASSES
There are no sign ups for this round
of Sunday School Classes, just show up!
Grounded in the Faith: This class
will dive into what we believe and why we believe it. It is so important for us
to know, as believers, because they do have practical implications for our
everyday lives. This week’s class be taught by Pastor Aaron. (Classroom 4)
Real Life Discipleship: As
believers, we read in Matthew 28 that we are to make disciples of all nations.
This class will help us as we dive into what a disciple is and how to make
disciples, ministering to those around us as they walk with the Lord. Join
Pastor Robbie as teaches the next section this Sunday. (Classroom 1)
Genesis Q&A: As we go through Genesis in our
Sunday Morning Worship time, questions may arise. This class will be formatted
as a question and answer time where the questions that you have can be
submitted on Sunday and discussed during Sunday School. There will be a QR code
on your bulletin on Sunday Morning that you can scan and then submit your
questions anonymously. After the service, during Sunday School we will sit down
and dialogue through your questions together, diving deeper into God’s Word. Be
sure to submit your questions on Sunday and join Pastor Stuart after the
service. (MPR)
SUNDAY LUNCHES FOR YOUNG
ADULTS/FAMILIES

families are invited out to the Mays’ (416 E Bald Eagle Street, Lock Haven)

QUATERLY GATHERING AND LISTENING
SESSION
After the church service on April 2nd, we are having our Quarterly Gathering
and Listening Session with the Elders.
Below is a list of questions that
will be discussed during this listening session:
· Would
you be in favor or opposed to Sunday School starting at 9AM, ending at 10AM,
and the service starting at 10:15AM?
· Knowing that people, especially widows and
single mothers, often have simple needs that need to be met, what sorts of
personal
resources or talents, beyond financial resources, can you think of
that we may have within the body to assist with needs? Things
like setting
up a computer, repairing a desk, unclogging a toilet, assessing an
automotive issue, sewing a torn garment, and so on.
- Would
you be willing to go on record as a resource that the Benevolence Team and
deacons can use when needs arise?
· Do you affirm the desired direction of the
elders to officially recognize deaconesses in our body? What benefits do you
think would
come from recognizing deaconesses? Do you have any concerns?
· How are you growing because of your involvement
with Big Woods? Your family?
· What ministry opportunities have been effective
for your spiritual growth?
· How can we better equip you in your specific
area of ministry? (as a spouse, parent, employee/employer, or however you are
serving
within the body?)

North America. For more information about this offering click here!

of the sanctuary.
PRAYER AND PRAISE POINTS
Every other Wednesday evening the Elders meet for several hours to
pray for the body and seek wisdom as they strive to lead and shepherd the body
at Big Woods according to the Word of God. Here are some of the pressing needs and
prayer points that they are asking you to pray alongside them. They can be
found here!
“WOMEN OF THE WORD” WORKSHOP
Women’s Ministry is holding a workshop on Jen Wilkin’s book, "Women of the
Word." It will be a breakdown of how to approach, study, understand, and
apply the Bible on our own. This workshop will be offered in Classroom 4 on
Monday, April 3rd at 6:30pm and Friday April 7th at 10:30am (childcare
provided).
GRIEF SHARE

losing a loved one. During the sessions, we will focus on the hope and healing
that is found in the truth offered through gospel. If you are interested in
joining us, you can sign up and register by clicking here!
PRAYER GATHERING
Join us on Wednesday, April 5th at 6:30 p.m. for our next Prayer
Gathering. There will be a potluck before starting at 5:30pm. This prayer gathering will be every
other Wednesday and will be one of the ways we can bear one another’s burdens
as we seek to faithfully follow Jesus together.
MEN’S GARAGE MINISTRY

6:00 p.m., all men will be invited to meet at the garage of Dave Frankenberger
(1930 Long Run Road, Mill Hall). Men, grab a chair and come prepared to
talk shop and tackle life’s challenges, while building on the strengths of your
brothers in Christ.

SECRET
CHURCH
Secret Church is an international
simulcast done every year by David Platt and his organization, Radical.
Navigate and New Life students have been involved for many years and would love
for you to join in on the fun! Come out on Friday, April 21 from
approximately 7:00 p.m. until midnight. This year’s series will go through the
entire book of Jonah! Jonah is one of the best-known
books of the Bible. But beyond the fascinating story of a fish swallowing a
man, you will find the challenging account of God’s most unwilling prophet and
how, often, we, like Jonah, choose our own comfort over God’s mission. But
Jesus shows us a better way. Together we will learn how the gospel drives us to
make disciples, not just of people who look and think like us—but of all
nations, even those we would consider our enemies. There is no cost to
participate!
BAPTISM
There will be a baptism
on Sunday, April 23. If you are interested in being baptized, please contact
the church office at 570-893-8274 or email Haylee at hayleec@bigwoods.org
