SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
There are no sign ups for this round of Sunday School Classes, just show up!
The Attributes of God: Misconceptions about God abound. But they do not have to. God has revealed His character in Scripture, illuminating the attributes that define Him. While we, being finite creatures, can never truly comprehend everything that God is, we should study what He Himself has said. This week’s class is on the Sovereignty of God led by Pastor Tim (Classroom 1)
Mama Bear Apologetics: Empowering Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies: This class is intended for all women; you do not have to be a mother to benefit from it! There is no denying that today's youth are leaving the church in droves. We do not live in a culturally Christian society. In fact, we live in a society that is increasingly hostile toward Christianity. Whether you use public school, Christian school, or homeschool, your kids will be exposed to various philosophies and worldviews that are contrary to Christianity. Come to this class to learn about some of the loudest lies culture is screaming at your kids and how to approach their questions.
This class will be taught by a group of ladies who are mothers in varying ages, stages, and styles, but we all recognize the importance of training the next generation to be critical thinkers and challenge cultural lies. This week’s topic is New Spirituality led by Jillian Best (Classroom 4)
2 Thessalonians: While We Wait: The elders will be team-teaching this book in the sanctuary. We will focus on what it looks like to live as Christians "while we wait" for the return of Jesus. How should that affect our daily lives? Join us as we consider God's word together "while we wait" for the return of Jesus! This week’s class is focused on 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 led by Robbie Mays. (Sanctuary)
SUNDAY LUNCHES FOR YOUNG ADULTS/FAMILIES
The young adults and families are invited out to the Redcay’s (138 Main Street, Beech Creek) after church this week for a time of fellowship. Lunch is provided this week! If you have any questions, contact Stuart at 717-517-6523.
IN THE WOODS

MEN’S GARAGE MINISTRY
On Thursday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m., all men will be invited to meet at the garage of Dave Frankenberger (1930 Long Run Road, Mill Hall). Men, grab a chair and come prepared to talk shop and tackle life’s challenges, while building on the strengths of your brothers in Christ.
ADVENTURES IN MOTHERHOOD
Adventures in Motherhood, AIM, is a faith-based ministry for moms of children ages 0-18 to come connect, grow, and fellowship together. Motherhood is wonderful but comes with unique challenges and can be isolating at times. Christian moms are called to bear one another’s burdens and consider who to stir one another up to love and good works. This is what we hope to do through this ministry- to provide a community to grow and be encouraged in our role as faithful Christian mothers. The group will meet every other Thursday, alternating mornings (10:30a-12:00p) and evenings (7:00-8:30p). Morning meetings will have childcare provided. If you have any questions, please reach out to our AIM coordinators, Jillian Best, firstname.lastname@example.org, and Cheyenne Redcay, email@example.com
Do you like Christmas music? Come join us for an Advent Chorale hosted by NewLife Campus Ministry Friday, December 2nd from 7-8pm in Price Auditorium! This will be a night filled with music, the Gospel, and so much fun! Hope to see you there!
PRC HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
If you are interested in going to the Pregnancy Resource Clinic’s State College Site Open House, it is happening December 5th from 3-7 pm! You are able to tour the facility and fellowship with the staff! For more information about this event, please go to the PRC’s website by clicking here!
It's that time of the semester again for students to be bogged down with studying, projects, finals, and PANCAKES! Midnight Pancakes is back at LHU Tuesday night, December 6th from 11pm-1am at the Student Rec Center. We will need volunteers to help make pancakes at Big Woods before going to campus, as well as volunteers to help make and pass out pancakes on campus. If you are interested in helping, please click the link here, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD –
On December 7th, we are planning our first trip to the distribution processing center in Baltimore, Maryland to help process shoe boxes for children around the world. If you plan to attend the event, please come to the team meeting December 4th in front of the sanctuary directly after church.

When: Wednesday, December 7th
Where: Meet at church at 6:00am
Event details: Plan to be gone all day and get back late in the evening.
You have the option to bring snacks, drinks, and lunch if you would rather not buy lunch.
Wear layers, we are in a warehouse that can be chilly but if you work hard, you might get hot.
Ages 13-17 need an adult chaperone; each chaperone can be responsible for up to four students.
WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING
The Ladies’ Prayer Gathering for December will be Saturday, December 10th, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Come and be blessed by yet another personal story of a life saved by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Saturday prayer is an intimate time of blessing and joy…and even includes coffee and sweets!
There will be an Advent Worship Service on Wednesday December 14th from 6:30-7:30pm. We will celebrate the Advent Season together through candle lighting, scripture reading, and singing. We will walk through each of the traditional Advent candles, hear its meaning, associated scripture, and sing a related song. Come out to prepare your heart and celebrate the hope that has come. This would be a good opportunity to invite friends, family, or neighbors who do not ordinarily attend church, but may be interested in celebrating this piece of the Christmas season.
Men! Mark your calendars for this year’s Men’s Retreat happening from February 3rd to the 4th of 2023. More information to come as the date approaches.
