This Week's Need to Know!
<b>Spiritual Warfare - What the Church Needs to Understand:</b> It is easy to allow many sources to define ones understanding of spiritual warfare which can leave you living in constant dread and fear. Today, more than ever, Christians needs to understand what the Word of God teaches and how we can trust in the truth, and ultimately the victory, He promises.
THIS WEEK’S TEXT:
“Possession and Oppression – How Much Reach Does Satan Really Have?”
Taught by: Pastor Tim Boger
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
There are no sign ups for this round
of Sunday School Classes, just show up!
The Attributes of God: Misconceptions
about God abound. But they do not have to. God has revealed His character in
Scripture, illuminating the attributes that define Him. While we, being finite
creatures, can never truly comprehend everything that God is, we should study
what He Himself has said. This week’s class is on the Immutability of God led
by Brandon Zembower (Classroom 1)
Mama Bear Apologetics: Empowering
Your Kids to Challenge Cultural Lies:
This class is intended for all women; you do not have to be a mother to benefit
from it! There is no denying that today's youth are leaving the church in
droves. We do not live in a culturally Christian society. In fact, we live in a
society that is increasingly hostile toward Christianity. Whether you use
public school, Christian school, or homeschool, your kids will be exposed to
various philosophies and worldviews that are contrary to Christianity.
Come to this class to learn about some of the loudest lie's culture is screaming
at your kids and how to approach their questions. This class will be taught
by a group of ladies who are mothers in varying ages, stages, and styles,
but we all recognize the importance of training the next generation to be
critical thinkers and challenge cultural lies. This week’s topic is Pluralism
led by Wendy Boger (Classroom 4)
2 Thessalonians: While We
Wait: The elders will be
team-teaching this book in the sanctuary. We will focus on what it looks like
to live as Christians "while we wait" for the return of Jesus. How
should that affect our daily lives? Join us as we consider God's word together
"while we wait" for the return of Jesus! This week’s class is taught
by Art Gray. (Sanctuary)

ADVENTURES IN MOTHERHOOD
Adventures in
Motherhood, AIM, is a faith-based ministry for moms of children ages 0-18
to come connect, grow, and fellowship together. Motherhood is wonderful
but comes with unique challenges and can be isolating at times. Christian moms
are called to bear one another’s burdens and consider who to stir one another
up to love and good works. This is what we hope to do through this ministry- to
provide a community to grow and be encouraged in our role as faithful Christian
mothers. The group will meet every other Thursday, alternating mornings
(10:30a-12:00p) and evenings (7:00-8:30p). Morning meetings will have childcare
provided. If you have any questions, please reach out to our AIM coordinators,
Jillian Best, jbest@ibcweb.net, and Cheyenne Redcay,
cskinner2015@gmail.com
