SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES

  1. Women's Class: Aging with Grace: Flourishing in an Anti-Aging Culture – Flourishing and Fruitful:  Psalm 92:12-15. (led by multiple women from the church) (Meets in Classroom 2). 
  2. Caring for One Another: Be Personal and Pray taught by Kraig Brady  (Meets in Classroom 1)
  3. Young Married Couples (Married 5 years or less): taught by Matt and Angelyn Trumbull (Meets in Classroom 3) 

WORKDAY
REMINDER:  There will be an outside workday this Saturday, May 21 starting at 9:00 a.m.  Breakfast will be served at 8:00 a.m.  If you plan on attending, please sign up here.

BIG WOODS MOTORCYCLE RIDE
There will be a Big Woods motorcycle ride for anyone in the church that rides and any non-church friends you wish to invite to come along this Sunday, May 22. The ride will leave the church parking lot at noon.  The group will plan to take the paved back roads to Fry Brothers Turkey Ranch for an afternoon meal and a similar easy two-lane ride back. Anyone with questions can contact Cliff Guindon at 570-295-2909.

PRAY FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Our first Friday Night Worship Service will be held on June 3 at 7:00 p.m.  We will be holding these Friday Night Worship Services the first Friday evening of the month at 7:00 p.m. except for the month of July – July’s will be held on July 8 at 7:00 p.m..  This night of prayer and worship is for anyone who is burdened and cares about the battle with addiction in our community, and anyone who has family and friends caught up in it, and anyone who is themselves struggling with addiction. In one way or the other, that means YOU!

OUTDOOR SERVICE
We will welcome summer with our first outdoor worship service on Sunday, June 5.  Bring your canopies and lawn chairs!

BAPTISM
We will have a baptism on Sunday, June 5 following the morning worship service at lot 11 at the river.  Driving directions from Lock Haven:  Cross the Veteran’s Bridge on Jay Street and turn left.  Drive ½ mile to the end Riverview Park.  Turn left into park entrance and follow the road to lot 11.  If you are interested in being baptized, please contact the church office at 570-893-8274 or email Holly at hollyb@bigwoods.org.

CHURCH PICNIC
There will be church picnic on June 5 at the church grounds following the baptism.  If you are interested in helping with this year’s picnic, please reach out to Holly at hollyb@bigwoods.org. SUMMER BACKYARD BBQ

We are welcoming back our summer backyard BBQ during the months of June, July, and August – every Tuesday evening starting at 6:00 p.m.  If you are interested in opening your backyard for one of the summer BBQs, please sign up here.  Bring a meat, a chair, and something to share!

WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING
Please join us as we gather for a time of fellowship and prayer this Saturday, June 11 at 9:00 a.m. at the home of Marilou Johnson, 457 Irwin Street, Lock Haven.

MILL HALL KIWANIS CHICKEN BBQ FUNDRAISER FOR PRC
Details for the Chicken BBQ are as follows:  July 16th, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Mill Hall Park.  Cost is $10 per meal (includes half chicken, baked beans, potato salad).  The contact person for this fundraiser is Deb Smetlz from Tri-County Church. WOMEN'S SUMMER STUDIES
There will be 2 studies available to women this summer. No Other Gods: The Unrivaled Pursuit of Christ, a study on modern idolatry, will meet Monday evenings 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday mornings 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon beginning June 13th. Risen Motherhood: Gospel Hope for Everyday Moments will meet every other Wednesday from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 noon beginning June 8th. Sign up for a study here.We also need Volunteers for Childcare for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
