PRAYER POINTS
Every other
Wednesday evening the Elders meet for several hours to pray for the body and
seek wisdom as they strive to lead and shepherd the body at Big Woods according
to the Word of God. Last evening some of the pressing needs and prayer
points that they are asking for you to pray alongside them can be found here.
E4M PODCAST
How important is the local church in the
life of a Christian? Pastors Tim and Aaron sit down to discuss in the newest
episode of Equipped for Ministry. Available here and wherever you get your podcasts!
MAYS MOVE IN
Robbie and Macala Mays are moving in this
Saturday! It would be an amazing blessing for them to have a massive crew ready
to help move. Come on out at noon on Saturday to 416 East Bald Eagle Street,
Lock Haven! (If there is a dramatic change of time, we will inform
everyone as well).
PRAYER GATHERING
Join us on Wednesday, February 9 at 6:30

will be one of the ways we can bear one another’s burdens as we seek to
faithfully follow Jesus together. There
will be a potluck prior to the Prayer Gathering.
WORKDAY
There will be a
church workday on Saturday, February 12. Breakfast will start at 8:00

we gather for a time of fellowship and prayer on Saturday, February 19 at 9:00 a.m. here at the
church.
CHILDREN’S MINISTRY WING REMINDER
At Big Woods Bible Church, we endeavor to
create a wonderful and safe atmosphere for our children and youth. Volunteers
must pass multiple sets of clearances, undergo interviews when initially
joining the ministries, and we have created protection policies with this end
goal in mind as well. Part of our endeavor is that access to the Children’s
Ministry wing is limited to our required volunteers and necessary individuals.
There are only two exceptions to this; 1) parents briefly picking up or
dropping off their infants from the Nursery, and 2) families being given an
escorted tour. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact Pastor
Stuart at stuartr@bigwoods.org. Thank you!
SNACKS FOR NEW LIFE
For those of you looking to exercise your
spiritual gift of serving this Spring, we have an opportunity for you! New Life
will be having gatherings on Tuesday nights, and we are looking for a few
volunteers who would be willing to provide some snacks for our students. It
does not need to be anything fancy. Chips, crackers, dips, or treats are all
welcome. If it is possible to bring things in disposable containers that would
be wonderful, so we don't have to track anyone down with a crockpot or dish. If
you are interested in helping reach our students through their bellies, please
see the signup sheet below. Please drop off snacks any time
before 4pm Tuesday of the week you are scheduled for at Big Woods
Bible Church. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Robbie
at robbiem@bigwoods.org. We are
looking forward to ministering to the students at LHU this semester and would
love to see many of them come to Christ and grow in discipleship through the
body of Christ at Big Woods!

AFGHANISTAN RESETTLEMENT PROGRAM ANGEL TREE
As a reminder, please be sure to check out
the Angel Tree located in the hallway by the Missions table. There are
gift tags on the tree with the items that are needed. We are asking for new
items or extremely gently used items. Each tag will be labeled with a
number and the item. Please write your name on the clipboard next to the
number corresponding to your tag. This family will be moving here with
almost nothing to their names. We need YOUR help to outfit their house
and make it a home for them, welcoming them to our community and showing
Christ’s love to them.
SAVE THE DATE -- MEN’S WORK AND
WORSHIP
One of the most important roles for a man
as husband and father is to lead his wife and family in worship. Yet, it
continues to be a major miss in most homes! Since men often learn best shoulder-to-shoulder,
following our time of work we will have a time to learn WHY and HOW we can
shepherd our homes well in the most important area of family worship. Men, mark
your calendar Saturday, March 5 at 9:00 am and plan to be
there.
