This year’s Christmas Eve Service will be held on December 24th from 6:00pm-7:00pm here at Big Woods Bible Church. In this season, pause for a moment to remember the miraculous birth of our perfect Savior! The Lord has given us His only Son knowing that He would take the place on the cross for our sins. Praise Him!

Calling all college students and young adults: Are you at home looking for something to do this Christmas break? Come out and join us for a New Year's Lock In at BWBC! We will start with dinner together at Big Woods Friday, December 29th at 5pm, and spend some time looking at Scripture, catching up with friends, going bowling, and hanging out. Stay overnight at the church - you don't have to sleep! - and we will have some more time in the Word Saturday morning after breakfast and wrap up around lunchtime. We hope that you can join us for this 20-hour retreat experience! Contact Pastor Robbie for more details.

Our next Garage Night will be, Thursday, January 4th at 6:00 p.m., where all men will be invited to meet at the garage of Dave Frankenberger (1930 Long Run Road, Mill Hall).  Men, grab a chair and come prepared to talk shop and tackle life’s challenges, while building on the strengths of your brothers in Christ.

The next Ladies’ Prayer Gathering will be Saturday, January 13th, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Come and be blessed by yet another personal story of a life saved by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Saturday prayer is an intimate time of blessing and joy…and even includes coffee and sweets!

There will be a winter bible study starting on January 15th going through the book of Habakkuk. The study will run on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. (childcare provided at the morning meeting). We will read through the book verse by verse studying how Habakkuk discovers how God is faithful to deliver his people from trouble in His own way and time. Sign up for the study by clicking here! December’s Book of the Month is “The Expected One” by Scott James. Every Christmas, Christians all over the world observe Advent, a season that reminds us of the love, hope, joy, and peace found only in Jesus Christ. Through this short and sweet family devotional (especially helpful if you're teaching little ones with short attention spans), James brings to light the many promises of Christ―from birth to ascension―that demonstrate His love for us during this Christmas season.
These daily devotions, which can be used by both families and individuals, are timeless and moving reminders of the true gift of Christmas. The Expected One is a perfect (and doable!) gift for any growing family or beloved friend who needs meaningful and biblical reminders of all Jesus is for them during the busy and the bustle of the holiday season, setting Him back in the center of it all.
