This Week's Need to Know!

THIS WEEK’S TEXT: “Abram Called on the Name of the LORD” Genesis 12: 4-9
Taught by: Pastor Tim Boger

Following Jesus: How Do I Live as a Christian? In this class, we will be looking at the practical ways that we can follow after Jesus. Join Pastor Aaron in Classroom 2/3 as he leads this week.
Broken Bread: How to Stop Using Food and Fear to Fill Spiritual Hunger: This women's Sunday School class will be taught by Brianna Batdorf in Classroom 4 as she teaches through this book. We will study a theology of food so that we can stop using food and fear to fuel our spiritual hunger.
Genesis Q&A: This class will be formatted as a question and answer time where the questions that you have can be submitted on Sunday and discussed during Sunday School. There will be a QR code on your bulletin on Sunday Morning that you can scan and then submit your questions anonymously. After the service, during Sunday School we will sit down and dialogue through your questions together, diving deeper into God’s Word. Be sure to submit your questions on Sunday and join Pastor Tim after the service. (MPR)

December’s Book of the Month is “The Expected One” by Scott James. Every Christmas, Christians all over the world observe Advent, a season that reminds us of the love, hope, joy, and peace found only in Jesus Christ. Through this short and sweet family devotional (especially helpful if you're teaching little ones with short attention spans), James brings to light the many promises of Christ―from birth to ascension―that demonstrate His love for us during this Christmas season.
These daily devotions, which can be used by both families and individuals, are timeless and moving reminders of the true gift of Christmas. The Expected One is a perfect (and doable!) gift for any growing family or beloved friend who needs meaningful and biblical reminders of all Jesus is for them during the busy and the bustle of the holiday season, setting Him back in the center of it all.
