THIS WEEK’S TEXT: “God Sends His Workers into the Vineyard” – Matthew 20:1-14
Guest Speaker: Dr. Al Nucciarone

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES
Jesus Continued: This theologically based class will be based off the book “Jesus Continued” by JD Greear and will focus on pneumatology which is the study of the Holy Spirit. Join Daniel Nauta this week as he leads the class in Classroom 1.
Priorities: This class will focus on our priorities, looking at why we do what we do and how we manage/schedule our days. Pastor Robbie will be leading this weeks’ class in Classroom 4 as he aims to teach the importance of having a biblical approach to our time.
Guest Speaker Q&A: This class will be formatted as a question and answer time where the questions that you have can be submitted on Sunday and discussed during Sunday School. There will be a QR code on your bulletin on Sunday Morning that you can scan and then submit your questions anonymously. After the service, during Sunday School we will sit down and dialogue through your questions together, diving deeper into God’s Word. Be sure to submit your questions on Sunday and join Dr. Nucciarone after the service. (MPR)

BWBC MEN’S SOFTBALL

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY MOVE-UP WEEKEND
Big Wood’s Children & Youth Ministry move-up weekend for classes is coming on up! On August 27th, all Sunday School students will advance up into their new grade for the year. In addition, we will be welcoming new students into the youth ministry on Wednesday, August 30th! If there are any questions, please contact Pastor Stuart.

WOMEN’S PRAYER MEETING
The next Ladies’ Prayer Gathering will be THIS Saturday, August 12th, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Come and be blessed by yet another personal story of a life saved by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Saturday prayer is an intimate time of blessing and joy…and even includes coffee and sweets!

PRC WORK PROJECT
Our church has an amazing opportunity to come alongside our local Pregnancy Resource Clinic right here in Lock Haven. The PRC has been working towards opening this location in Lock Haven and in order to do so, they need to renovate their new space to fit their needs. They are looking for volunteers to do some demo work and other projects on August 19th at 9AM. THIRD SUNDAY SUMMER GATHERING
Our last gathering of the summer is scheduled for August 20th right here at Big Woods! Right after the service, we will be having a potluck style picnic here at the church. There will be hotdogs and hamburgers provided, games, and fellowship! We are looking forward to gathering together as the Youth Ministry hosts this event. PRAYER GATHERING
Join us on Wednesday, August 23rd at 6:30 p.m. for our next Prayer Gathering. Our prayer gatherings will be every other Wednesday and will be one of the ways we can bear one another’s burdens as we seek to faithfully follow Jesus together.

AWANA SIGN UPS
Awana is officially happening here at Big Woods, and we are so excited for this opportunity to serve our children here at the church and in the community! Our opening night of Awana is scheduled for September 6th and will run every Wednesday throughout the school year. To sign your child up for Awana here at Big Woods, please click here. MEN’S GARAGE MINISTRY
Our next Garage Night will be, Thursday, September 7th at 6:00 p.m., where all men will be invited to meet at the garage of Dave Frankenberger (1930 Long Run Road, Mill Hall).  Men, grab a chair and come prepared to talk shop and tackle life’s challenges, while building on the strengths of your brothers in Christ

GRIEF SHARE
Grief Share is a 13-week group that will be running every Tuesday evenings at 6:45pm from September 12th – December 5th. Grief Share aims to help you face the challenges of grief after losing a loved one. During the sessions, we will focus on the hope and healing that is found in the truth offered through gospel. WORKDAY
On September 30th from 8am – 12pm, Men’s Ministry will be cooking up breakfast and hosting another productive workday here at the church. As we seek to steward our church property, we are going to paint around different areas of the church, install baseboard, build a shelf for the youth room, repair holes in walls, wash windows, and so much more! BOOK OF THE MONTH 
"God is" by Mark Jones is the August book of the month! This book is a devotional guide to the attributes of God. This devotional book takes the time to work through attributes like God is triune, he is spirit, he is infinite and eternal and so many more. He breaks them up into a few pages with scripture to walk us through each! If you are interested in this book or any of our others, be sure to check out the bookshelf. MEN’S RETREAT – SAVE THE DATE
Men, save the date for the next Men’s Retreat!  It will take place February 2-3, 2024 at Sylvan Hills Christian Camp.  Details will be forthcoming as the date approaches but be sure to block off that weekend on your calendar!
