This Week’s Need to Know – 01/18/2017

Grace.  It’s a simple five letter word that we hear often, and frequently use in our conversations.  But do we really have a grasp of what grace is?  Do we know how much it cost our Heavenly Father?  Do we know what it demands from our lives?  Yes, grace is free and grace is undeserved.  We understand those things well.  But there is more to it than what we receive.  There is an empowering to live a life in a way that is impossible in our own strength.  This Sunday, Pastor Tim will teach us the second of the 5 Solas, Sola Gratia, or Grace Alone.  Join us at either of our morning services and be prepared to learn about and worship our gracious God!

Once more, never think that you can live to God by your own power or strength; but always look to and rely on him for assistance, yea, for all strength and grace.  -David Brainerd
